Simulacra

When the simulation has a life as rich as the physical world. This week I knew I would be spending time in Las Vegas, itself a simulacra of the world. And within I find subtle reminders that the real is not real. And echoes. The airport neon not only calls out the sky, but a light installation by the artist James Turrell that is in a mall a few miles down the road. Visitors don’t notice and look at me oddly as I capture the scene.
