Reflections

Up

While I struggle to keep focus external and truly listen to the land, the reality is that my day-to-day experiences and moods impact how I understand the environment. I append myself to the land, using it as a reflection of my own mind. When listening to humans I don’t have this problem – I listen, I ask, I seek clarification. But the interpersonal feedback I get from human interaction is absent here.

At the moment I’m struggling with darkness. So I look up. The skies to me always seem to hold the promise of optimism and the future, even when storms threaten. Upward. And I find something not necessarily unexpected but that allows for redirection outside of my mind. The land is and asks me to accept it on its terms.
